NORMAN,	Herbert J	59(Nfld) Royal Arty; June 1940; #970638. Lance Bombardier who landed in Normandy shortly after D-Day and supported operations to Caen and attacks along the Rive Orne. Also fought in Belgium & Holland. Germans had flooded the lowlands of Holland and fighting was fierce and very difficult. Herbert was in Germany at the end of the war and remained as part of the liberation force.	Born 8 Dec 1917 in St. John's, son of Beniah & Anne. Returned to Corner Brook.
