Approaching Corner Brook on the Trans Canada Highway from the west: Take exit 5 ( Massey Drive). At the intersection turn left, go through the overpass and turn right onto Confederation Drive. At the traffic light turn left onto West Valley Road and follow it all the way downtown. At the end of West Valley Road you can only follow to the right on Central Street and then make an immediate left onto West Street. Go all the way down West Street to the Cenotaph at Remembrance Square. The sign for the Legion is on the right at the foot of the lane and you will see the Legion clubrooms at the top.
Approaching Corner Brook on the Trans Canada Highway from the east: Take exit 6 (Lewin Parkway) and follow it all the way downtown. At the bottom of the high rock-cut keep in the right-hand lane and follow the sign to Humber Road. Stay in the right lane and turn right onto Humber. In the next block Humber becomes Main Street. Go through the traffic lights and get in the left hand lane. Just past the lights take a left turn into Park Street, which is one way. Keep in the left lane and go past the hotel (Greenwood Inn) on the left, then turn left on Todd St, then left again onto West St. (If you miss Todd St you can go all the way to the end of Park Sstreet where the left lane turns onto Central Street and then take an immediate left turn on to West Street - which is one-way going back toward Main St.) Go all the way down West Street to the Cenotaph at Remembrance Square. The sign for the Legion is on the right at the foot of the lane and you will see the Legion clubrooms at the top.
A good way to keep your bearings in Corner Brook is to watch the steam plume from the paper milL, which is right downtown on the waterfront and the Legion Club is just up the hill.
Visitors are always welcome at Branch 13 and you don't have to be a Legion member to come in.
