Memorial Wall, Branch 13, Royal Canadian Legion, 7 West St. Corner Brook, NL
This Memorial commorates the 111 men from the Bay of Islands area of Western Newfoundland who died in
World War I, World War II, Vietnam and Afghanistan. There is a frame for each individual with a photograph,
and an inscription of his branch of the Service and date of death. Repesented are the Navy, Army, Air Force
and
Merchant Marine. There are twenty-six frames for which we could not find any photos, and we
solicite the
help of our our viewers in tracing and collecting those remaining photographs. A companion Book
of Remembrance contains
more information about the individuals, including family, place of origin; and
date, place and circumstances of death.
